Hello there, Pals! How are you today? We are currently sitting in an air fryer, at least that’s what it feels like outside. I started the day with a nice long upper-body routine with Tasha, then went to work and watched the launch of Axiom Mission 4, which I can safely say was historic moment for us, at least in the history of space exploration because there hasn’t been a Hungarian astronaut in space ever since the 80s.
Anyway, I’m still doing Flex R2 and unlike most women (according to memes, at least) I prefer upper-body routines to lower-body ones. Maybe because I get a lot less sore after upper-body day or I just like my new biceps. 😊
Let’s move on to something more interesting, our fact-finder fragment (source: The Infographic Show): Did you know that only one part of the human body has no blood supply? The cornea is the only part of the entire human body with no blood vessels because if it did, you wouldn’t be able to see as clearly as you do. Instead, the cornea gets its oxygen directly from the air itself. This is also the fastest-healing part of the body. The cornea has evolved to heal really fast because it’s vulnerable to micro abrasions from dust and other debris (unless we walk around with our eyes closed) If the rest of you could heal as fast as the cornea, even a gunshot wound would be fully healed in a matter of days. (hm… that could be a superpower.) Also, and this is rather disgusting, but did you know that tiny mites called Demodex mites live inside your pores, eating your sebum…? You can’t just wash them off because they are tiny, and live inside your pores and they only come out to play (and mate…) at night. Nice, isn’t it?
All right, Pals, have an easy day, treat your mites well and don’t forget to blink from time to time. Also, eat fruit.
