It's been a while and I've been pretty busy after moving! I started to cook more, but picked up a nasty habit of picking coffee and a coffee cake for breakfast. With a quiche to make it "healthy".
I maintained my weight even though the coffee + coffee cake together were an extra 1K calories per day, smh.
It was a small mom-and-pop shop that's organic, but I learned that lattes in general will always have a lot of sugar, which sounds obvious, but I was too stressed out and didn't think of that, smh.
I had to switch Pilates studios to one that has a HIIT workout and regular Reformer classes. I do the HIIT one that's a boot camp that burns around 500-600 calories twice a week, so I think that's why I didn't gain weight from the 1K calories of sugar.
I have noticed much more tone, especially my arms! I finished FB Complete and tried to start with Sweat, but the HIIT in there was too much since I'm so sore after the Boot camp HIIT. I do think that HIIT/cardio is what I've been missing in my workouts to actually lose fat.
I did a Dexa Scan and gained 1.5 pounds of muscle and 3 pounds of fat, so there's probably some body re-composition happening.
I think HIIT and cardio has been the missing factor! I'm still doing strength training, but with FB Fit's 2 week challenge at 2-3 sessions a week. I really like the cardio part of FB Fit.
What's cool is that my muscles are showing much more after adding in cardio! I spent years only doing strength training and reformer and little-to-no cardio, but when I was most fit in my life, I would do much more HIIT/cardio at the time. I stopped because of foot injuries, then never really got back to it.
For food, I want to continue making eggs with egg whites with cheese and spinach. Then for dinner, I want to make something like chicken in Tikka masala with sourdough bread and maybe some broccoli.
I want to just cook things from home for the next week. I have cold brew coffee and can make my own eggs in the morning!
