HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group April 22nd
Good very early Tuesday morning! Posting at 3:30am, because I woke up to go to the bathroom and couldn’t fall back asleep.
We’ll have some work done on one side of our house today, as water accumulates on the pathway leading to our backyard on rainy days, and it has damaged the plaster/roughcast. This issue was noted in our home inspection report and it was the first thing we wanted to address once winter was over. They’ll remove the stone pathway, refinish the plaster, and they’ll grade the yard to slope away from the wall, so that water doesn’t pool there on rainy days. We’ll have to wait a few weeks before redoing the pathway, for the soil to settle and pack down.
I feel stressed about the work, so that’s why I was unable to fall back asleep. I’m trying not to worry, as this is beyond my control. At least David took a day off, so that I can work and keep Loki with me in my office. He’ll be barking and howling, because he feels like he must protect us from strangers. This will not be a fun time for him or me, and I’ll be glad when the work will be done.
Hoping that I’ll have some energy left at the end of the day to go for a walk.
Wishing everyone an uneventful and worry-free day 🙂
