We combine lengthier strength circuits with shorter power rounds to give you a dual strength building and conditioning effect. The spotlight is on the glutes for much of this workout with a combination of both isolated and compound lower body exercises.
Why glutes? Well the glutes tend to be underactive for people who sit at work (yes, including me!) and women after pregnancy. It takes conscious effort to grow these muscles when they’ve been programmed to go dormant and the hip flexors or other muscles take over, causing imbalances and pesky pain (like low back pain). While one workout isn’t going to be “the cure” my hope is that my cueing around glute engagement gives you something to take into other workouts beyond this one!
Bring your dumbbells and join me for this fun, level 4 workout and get ready to feel stronger (and sweatier) by the end!
