New Bodyweight Cardio Workout!

Good morning FB Family!

I frequently call the active recovery exercises in this routine “optional” but I’m hoping that my enthusiasm will peer pressure you into considering them a required part of the programming (more so than my “enthusiasm” during the core finisher, haha):

Bodyweight Cardio Pyramid Circuit with Core Finisher

You’ll complete goal reps for each of the five exercises in the main circuit and then immediately begin an active recovery, lesser intensity exercise to slowly ramp-down your heart rate. This workout is a fun way to moderate your heart rate with your breathing and continue movement during times of mild discomfort to improve cardiovascular performance.

Whenever I do targeted core work, I jokingly tell my sister that I’m on the floor “flailing and failing.” Not because I’m truly “failing” but because my brain does not want to do it and it’s a discomfort I don’t enjoy (I’ll do sprints and wonder if there’s enough oxygen in the world for me to recover but still thoroughly enjoy it). Just know that most of the time I’m internally struggling through the core finisher right along with you! Honestly, I’m pretty vocal about this, haha.
