In today’s workout release we tackle straightforward upper body strength exercises and end the routine with some lower body mobility work to complement your runs:
Although I created this workout as an add-on to a run, you don’t have to be a runner or have just finished a run to complete this routine! The exercises are straightforward and easily modifiable so that you can determine the overall difficulty based on your personal energy levels at the time of workout completion. Lift “moderately heavy” for a harder workout experience or stick with your light to medium weights for a solid upper body routine that won’t leave you with noodle arms.
It takes me quite a while for my muscles to relax so spending roughly 10 minutes in the cool-down and mobility segment of this workout felt like a treat for my tight muscles (I didn’t film this workout after a run but I did film it after filming another workout).
Let me know how this routine goes for you! Overall, what changes have you noticed with your performance when you include more mobility work in your training schedule?
