Today’s practice combines two styles of meditation in one: gratitude practice and a body scan. This is one for people who like their mind to be active while practicing mindfulness as you are continually redirecting your focus onto different body parts and identifying your appreciation for what your body can and does do for you.
It is my hope that this one helps you to take away your focus from the aesthetics or appearance of your body and allows you to find greater appreciation for what it does. It is easy to lose sight of functionality in a world that tells us appearance is so important, so adding on a practice like this can shift our focus. Compassion for your own and others’ bodies is the goal here.
