Wondering about plateauing

So I am doing a 1200 calorie diet and those of you who’ve done it. I need some insight after losing a bunch of weight like for starters I lost 8.2lbs in a week and half. So I was wondering when do I actually plateau and when I do what should I do? Should I lower my calories more or workout more? Needing some advice. I don’t want any negative comments about me doing this diet. Just positive feedback. Thank you!
