My first solo hike

Today I did my very first solo hike. This may not sound very special but for me it was something I didn't feel (mentally) ready for until now. I have bad eyesight and while I go on hikes often, I usually prefer to have someone with me, in case I miss a trail marker or something like that. My son is my usual hiking partner, but he's skiing with school this week. The weather forecast for today was great, so I decided to visit a small town I've passed many times, but never really have been to. They have a number of short, but quite steep hiking trails, which I did two of. I ended it with a 6 km walk to the nearest train station.

I had a great day, enjoyed nature, fresh air and the sun (it's spring weather here). I also tried out my new camera and tripod, a few images are attached. The sky was a bit hazy, but they still turned out okay.
