New Workout! Strength and Cardio Conditioning Circuit

Good morning FB Family!

Today’s level 5 strength and cardio combination will test your physical and mental limits:

4 x 4 Strength and Cardio Conditioning Circuit

We complete four rounds of a four-exercise circuit, committing 60 seconds of movement to each exercise while challenging ourselves to use moderately heavy weights. This is an advanced level workout because of the long duration working intervals, number of rounds, complexity of the exercises, and the physical/mental stamina required to stick it out to the end! Pace yourself and aim for a pace and weights that allow you to remain consistent or improve from start to finish. Remember, these total body conditioning style workouts are great supplemental routines to your maximal strength training workouts as well as great accessory aerobic work for many endurance/ speed activities (such as running, cycling, swimming, etc.)

I so enjoyed filming this routine because I love finding comfort in the discomfort! Note that there is a difference between injurious pain and challenging yourself to continue moving while feeling uncomfortable. And you don’t have to push or test your limits during every single workout (you shouldn’t)! But when you do, know that you’re training both your brain and muscles to accommodate improved physical performances.
