New Workout! Athletic-Inspired Bodyweight Tabata HIIT

Hey Fitness Blenders!

How are you today? On the menu for today's release is a fun tabata-style HIIT workout:

Athletic-Inspired Bodyweight Tabata HIIT

We're taking bodyweight movements inspired by common athletic drills to get your heart rate up and bring the sweat. You can expect to hurdle, backpedal, and mountain climb your way through this one. While most of the movements require jumping, a low-impact alternative is always offered.

So, what can you expect with the workout itself? This is a classic tabata format, meaning a 4 minute block with 8 round of 20 sec work/10 sec rest. Your goal is to PUSH during the 20 sec working period. This fatigue will stack as the rounds build, and you'll be "rewarded" with a 1-minute rest at the end of each tabata circuit. After 3 tabata circuits, we'll tackle a 2-minute AMRAP finisher together for one final challenge.

The beauty of this workout is that it's very scalable! The level 3 rating rings true if you're moving at a moderate to quick pace and working to about 70% of your max effort. You can very easily take this up to a level 4 or 5 intensity by increasing the speed and effort you put forth! Like many of our workouts, you get what you give.

I hope you enjoy moving like an athlete in this short, sweet, and spicy workout! Drop a comment if you're moving with me today.
