Progressive overload for mass building

I am trying to build 5-10 pounds of lean muscle mass in 2024. I've tried FB Mass and Strong before without putting on much extra weight, but I was not tracking the amount of weight I was using systematically. I would appreciate any tips on how to train with this goal in mind, or references to a systematic program that incorporates metrics like rate of perceived exertion, so I might be more successful this next time around!
