How to know when to take a workout break?

Hi all :)

In general, what are peoples tell tale signs they need a week off from working out?

I've noticed the last couple of weeks (coming up to a month really).. I've been having little niggling pains in my hips/feet, and knees at times.

I also feel like I'm dragging myself through my workouts and feeling pretty exhausted all of the time.

It's very rare I take a full week out from working out as its my main way to de-stress and I tend to find myself quite lost without it.. and as I'm sure a lot of people can relate to, I do feel some guilt when not doing my weekly workouts!!

I keep thinking it may benefit me to just take a full week out to rest and then come back fresh.

If anyone can relate or has any advise for taking breaks please let me know! :D
