New Workout! Gentle Movement for PMS and Period Relief

Hey friends (especially you ladies)! Here’s a niche-type of workout for those who are drawn to it:

Gentle Movement for PMS and Period Relief

I also want to point out that this level 1 routine can also be suitable for those who are in need of a slower recovery day, want to wake up their whole body, or would like to stretch and open up the hips and general midsection.

Whether or not we should work out during menstruation is a question that comes with very individualized answers. For some, this intuitively feels helpful and for others, it may not. Whatever that answer is, it’s important to respect the process your body is going through! Movement can bring relief to common symptoms such as bloating, tension, aches, mood swings, fatigue, irritability, and more.

This 24-minute routine is designed to be a welcoming way to increase circulation throughout your entire body in hopes of taking tension away from the lower tummy and lower back. It will also focus on gently opening up and stretching the hips as this region tends to feel tight and tense. We start out on the floor focusing heavily on targeted stretches and mobility and then towards the end of the routine make our way to our feet for more muscle engagement. It’s a safe way to break up the natural sedentariness, fatigue, and tension that comes with this time while also getting more in touch with your body. We want to respect our body’s needs and let it lead the way!
