Highland Dancing and good HIIT/cardio workouts

Hello! Are there any other Highland dancers here? For those who don’t know, it’s a type of Scottish dancing known for its high cardiovascular intensity. I’ve done it since I was a child but haven’t competed in more than a decade. This summer I’m going to attempt a competition and am trying to prepare by cross training with FB. It hasn’t been my most active summer so far, but I’m getting back into regular structured workouts now and still have a couple months to go before the competition.

So - for any fellow highland dancers: do you still compete, and what are your favourite workouts?

For anyone else - can you share your favourite HIIT or cardio routine? Bonus if it focuses one one-legged movements!
