I am a science nerd and curious about scientific background of some workout-related phenomena. Would love to see expert articles detailing the topics below!
Some physiological explanations about..
- how the number of repetitions & weight selection decides mass building/strength/toning (I think Kayla's article about fast/slow twitch muscles [https://www.fitnessblender.com/articles/fast-twitch-versus-slow-twitch-muscles-10-facts-about-muscle-fiber-types-and-how-to-train-each] kinda covers this topic, but still)
- post-exercise burn or EPOC
- DOMS
And these are more physics/body mechanics:
- how dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, and resistance bands work muscles in different ways
- the effect of different ways of gripping weights (by your side, on shoulders, goblet grip)
Not sure if all of these are within the expertise of the FB team, but I figured I'd throw ideas anyway. Thanks!
