Have you ever used a weighted vest? What was it like?

I found a 15 lb weighted vest on sale and bought it. I haven’t been able to find dumbbells with higher weights that aren’t extremely expensive, so I was thinking of wearing the 15 lb vest and use that for workouts.

Would that help with progressive overload similar to using larger dumbbells? And would it be good for only weightlifting when standing up? How do you incorporate that in your workouts?
