New Workout! HIIT for Beginners

Hey FB Fam!

If you’ve heard a lot about High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) but are a little intimidated by it, I’ve got the perfect routine for you!

HIIT for Beginners

When you think of HIIT, do you picture someone doing endless amounts of burpees and squat jumps only to be lying in a puddle of their own sweat at the end?

Maybe that’s not appealing to you. Or maybe you’d like to get to a point where you have the energy and endurance to push through a workout like that. Either way, not all HIIT needs to be this way in order to get the benefits.

There are a few things that make this workout an entry level HIIT routine:

  • Intervals are equal work to rest ratio (30 seconds on/30 seconds off) to allow more recovery time
  • Exercises are all low-impact but you can take the intensity up if you want!

And to make your experience with this HIIT workout even more enjoyable, the format is a bored easily style (no exercise repeats)!

Whether you’re dipping your toes in the water with HIIT, are just getting into your workout routine, or aren’t quite feeling up for a level 4 or 5 workout, this routine could be a great addition to your next cardio day.

Where are you on the HIIT spectrum? Newbie or seasoned?

Enjoy!
