Hello first Friday of September!

I tried to find a quote to relate to how I feel but was unsuccessful. I have been thinking about how my workout routine is not working for me. Today was my recovery day but as it is I have not had an actual rest day since August 14. Maybe 4 years ago this would have been fine but not anymore. I am older now. Perhaps I simply need a bit more rest? Plus coming off a summer of hot sleepless nights, I need some recovery....

This weekend will be reflection, rest and preparing for the running goals I have. Luckily the schedule is planned out and there are rest days.

This morning I did 30 minutes of fluid stretching and it felt great.

What do you have planned today? Rest, workouts, fun activities?

I will be making an heirloom tomato tart with feta, zucchini, carmelized onions, and balsamic glaze. I saw it on the internet and knew I just had to make it. The tomatoes I got are so beautiful. That may be the highlight of my weekend but we will see. It should be a bit rainy, which we need. That means lots of time for relaxing and reflecting. I also started a new book and I am loving it.
