Hiking Prep/Tips?

Hello all!

Has anyone here used FB workouts/programs to get into condition before a hike?

I will be joining a new acquaintance on weekend hikes soon and wondered about how to best prepare myself.

I'm a few weeks into a regular workout routine again (current program is FB Reboot) after months off, so my cardiovascular endurance isn't *as* good as before, but is improved from a few months ago. Just wondered if there are little extras I could add on to my current routine to help get my muscles and joints ready to work a bit harder.
