Perspiration Pals 3 August 2022

Hello Pals! Here I am again, I hope you’re well. I’ve just finished working out, and when I saw the words ‘no equipment’ my wrist started sobbing (that’s how I imagined it) but fortunately, it didn’t require that much wrist work. I had a look at what I wrote this time last year and apparently, I had a close encounter with a deer. I think I need to get out of my living room a bit more…

Anyway, today’s question is not related to exercise which is not unusual. I was reading 3666 Interesting, Fun, and Crazy Facts You Won’t Believe Are True and it gave me an idea. So in Denmark 'Fartkontrol' means speed check because the word ‘fart’ means ‘speed’. The Finnish word for ‘arse’ is ‘perse’ whereas the Hungarian word for ‘of course’ is ‘persze’ pronounced the same way as the Finnish word. Can you think of any similar funny linguistic coincidences?

So moving on to exercise and other fun activities? What are you up to today?

By the way, I wanted to share this recipe with you. The tofu requires a bit more seasoning in my humble opinion but it’s a delicious and filling meal.

Have an easy day, Pals!

PS, just a random duck.
