Painful skin on a the hip.

Hello FB friends.

For the last few days I have been experiencing strange pain and maybe someone from this community could help me find out what it could be.

I wasn't able to exercise for 6 weeks because I had to undergo an operation. Before that I was pretty active. I started again slowly, gently with mild stretching and lower body workouts. First few days were good and without pain. But then, out of nowhere, during IT band leans I felt stabbing pain in my right hip. (or more precisely on the skin) Now I feel this really strong pain every time I am stretching in the same place. I am sure it isn't the hip joint. It is not painful on the touch. I can do squats without any pain, but I cannot lay on my right side and do those amazing pilates exercises (f.e. Inside Leg Lift). I am pretty flexible, so I am sure I haven't overstretched.

The pain lasts only for a while, but it is very strong.

Thank you for every idea / advice,
