Lose It! app

After a rocky start to 2022 (multiple family medical dramas, an unexpected change in job - one thing after another, it seems...) I kind of fell off the radar in terms of my eating/exercising and have gained a bit of weight (thank you stress & being the middle of winter). Not a lot, mind you, but enough in that my clothes feel tighter and I just feel uncomfortable generally.

I decided to try a food logging app, just to see what the kilojoule/calorie count was (as I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this) in the foods I eat on a regular basis, and was somewhat horrified by what I found. Turns out I was probably eating WAY more calories than I thought I was, or in fact needed to be.

Has anyone tried Lose It! or My Fitness Pal etc., and did it work for you as a tool to help you lose weight?

For reference ,I am a 35 year old female, 5'4", 145lb (65kg) and my ideal weight would be 5-10kg (11-22lbs) of fat loss/3-4 inches off my waist (as all my weight seems to go on around my tummy, sigh!!)
