Splitting up a workout into two in the same day

Do any of you guys ever split up a workout, doing it in two intervals in the same day? For example, you have a 30 minute workout for the day, so you do half of it in the morning and half of it in the evening. (Adding in warm-ups and cool-downs of course)

Or, doing a workout in the morning, then doing an easy run or something like that in the evening.

I’m asking because tomorrow my schedule is odd so it looks like I may need to do my workout in two intervals. I was just wondering if you guys have experience with doing this, or have any wisdom or ideas for me!
