I am told that this lovely flower is called a bird of paradise. It is one of my favorite desert plants. Many of the plants in my yard are blooming. The pomegranates are exploding with blossoms, the Lavender stalks are looking like sparklers, the African daisies are happy. My gardener friend is harvesting her lettuce and onions. As long as the wind doesn’t blow, I’m happy.
Other wind news, My oldest daughter is not far from the fire in New Mexico. She called me and talked about air purifiers and allergy meds. She’s not in any danger nor expected to be.
I’ll be trying to respond with speech to text instead of thumbs to text. Requesting forgiveness for interpolations in advance. Any ideas for a group activity this weekend? Eating gummy sharks? Eating gummy bears?
Sunday is Mother’s Day for Americans. I think all women should celebrate themselves. I will make some sort of healthish cake or scones! 😋
