Core exercises to prevent sciatica from returning

Just about back on my feet after severe sciatica pain and looking back to starting exercising again.

I'm definitely going to start with low impact, no weights for a month or two. But I'm looking for exercises to prevent the sciatica from returning (I canne gp through that pain again) and so need to work on my core.

Can anyone assist with some daily core exercises? I can't do normal floor core exercises as they just wreck my neck.

Any tips to prevent it from reoccurring also welcome!
