How to do a squat?

I've been following fitness blender for some years now and I wondered what Kelli and Daniel, and the wider community think about the new advice on how to do squats - I know Daniel does say that your knees can come past your toes but Kelli always says to push your hips back and then lower. I have read a lot of articles that debunk the "knees over toes" argument and I am a little confused. I do follow other fitness professionals such as Briannah Jewel who do have a different take on the squat issue
