Health isn’t a static achievement — it’s something we all have to continually work on. We all face setbacks; we all struggle with motivation. It’s important to remember that smart fitness is fluid and has to move with you through your whole life. That’s where knowing your “why” comes in.

Make sure the “why” behind your reason to eat well and work out is rooted not in the expectations, perceptions, or validation of others, but in your overall health. Focus on feeling good. Feeling strong. Feeling nourished. Your “why” should come from a place of self-love, not self-hatred.
