I finally love my thighs

I’ve struggled with my weight since I was 17 or so (35 now), and always *always* hated my thighs. They were big and jiggly. It got to the point where I never wore shorts or skirts or dresses, just jeans. (I still don’t, but I will this summer now!)

Since September 2020, I’ve been working out nearly every single day. My favorites are strength training and Pilates. And the past few months, I’ve been riding my e-bike around with my son on the back, just little joy rides. All good things to build muscles in the legs!

A couple months ago, I was pop-squats during my workout and I looked down at my legs and my immediate thought was “they’re so powerful.” I hadn’t really realized just how much muscle is there now.

This is a huge cognitive shift in my feelings towards my legs. Huge. Every day since, I’ve felt the same, and I love feeling my leg and thigh muscles when I wear leggings around the house. (Seriously, I’m constantly telling my husband to grab my thighs or feel me flex 😂).

Anyways, I’m happy to finally appreciate my trunks. ❤️
