Yesterday "In the Kitchen" Tuesday 12-14-21

Good day FB Foodie Family.

Started the day out with about 2 inches of snow. Slowly melting off. Last night I was working late and Storm made dinner. She cooked a "perfectly rare" crossrib roast. Rubbed with dijon mustard, thyme, cracked pepper, and smoked sea salt. Then roasted some veggies in the oven to go with: red cabbage, golden potato, carrot, broccoli. Seasoned those with EVOO, thyme, smoked sea salt, cracked pepper. Very delish and the perfect job on the temp of the roast. Storm's first time cooking a roast in our wood cookstove and she nailed it. Great job baby! I then made up a quick sauce with merlot, pan drippings and a pat of butter.

Seems like most of you had a busy weekend "In the Kitchen." Any energy left for last night? What was going on in your kitchen? Have a blessed and prosperous day!
