Mass Challenge, Day 8 - Complete!

Today's scheduled LB strength workout w/ cardio intermissions from Tasha is one of the few of hers that didn't make it to the favorites list due to too many squats (which the knee can't handle, and which overwork the quads/hamstrings at the expense of the much weaker, long-neglected glutes).

So, it was swapped out for a newer, longer LB strength + cardio bursts from Tasha in a very similar style which was on the "Try Me" list of not-yet-attempted workouts (w/ 18 of hers still waiting to be attempted) - https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos/circuit-style-lower-body-strength-with-cardio-bursts-part-2

It was a doozy of a workout, challenging both the legs (which are now totally toasted) and cardio as well. The scheduled LB workout is also a good challenge, despite the shorter time, although the cardio intervals are less intense and it felt much more quad/hamstring focused than the similar one swapped in today which targets the glutes more, as well as the total leg.

The deliberate muscle-building, rather than toning, design of the workouts included in the Mass Challenge compared to other recently completed Challenges/Programs (Bored Easily Challenge, You vs. You Challenge, FB 20 Challenge, FB 30 R4) is very welcome, and the muscles are much more spent and sore following workouts than usual, despite lifting the same amounts. There's also something very satisfying about the well-toasted muscles feeling like a quivering mass of useless jelly after each workout, lol! ;) :)

Tomorrow's scheduled UB strength + cardio workout w/ Daniel has been on the "Try Me" list for ages - but it's so long, it might need to be rescheduled w/ tomorrow's tight schedule, other than choosing to lose an extra 30ish minutes of sleep in the morning to fit it and the EC in.

Hope your week is off to a good start, and happy Blending everyone! :)
