Has anyone else experienced weight loss after increasing calories?

Due to a schedule change at my new job these last two weeks I've been unable to do much exercise. I also decided during this time I wouldn't try to lose any weight (I had been eating 1400-1500 cals per day), but rather maintain my weight with around 1800-2100 cals. During this time I have lost about 3lbs in two weeks with almost no exercise. This seems bizarre to me, because my normal routine of hiking for 40-60mins x3s a week and FB HIIT/workouts the other 2 days a week, I usually see around .5 to 1lb loss. I am no longer over weight (and haven't been for about a year) and currently in a healthy weight range so the last 20lbs for me has been coming off very slowly.

Has anyone else experienced faster weight loss after increasing their calories? I'm wondering if I should continue eating in this range (it has never previously worked for me, and I had to eat about 1500 cals per week to see about a 1lb loss). I had lab work done a year ago (for unrelated reasons) but I am perfectly healthy so far as I know, so I doubt its anything like a thyroid problem.
