Yesterday I did one of the ab workouts and I am SORE! A couple years ago I was all about working out but because of life stuff I fell off the bandwagon. About a month ago I decided it was time to get back into it and make Fitness Blender a part of my daily life again. I didn't realize how much strength and muscle tone I had lost though. Previously work outs like yesterday's wouldn't have fazed me, but it did because I'm rebuilding muscle.
Since I'm so sore I decided that even though I don't want to, i need to listen to my body and take the day off to let my muscles calm down. A couple years ago this would have really bothered me, but in order to keep Fitness Blender a part of my daily life I need to make it sustainable and accept the fact that sometimes extra rest days happen but programs will still be there waiting and ultimately my body will thank me.
