Happy weekend! The photo is from Desert Foothills park. The park has a paved 1.25 mile trail meandering through the desert at the foothills of the mountains. Birds such as quail and pyrrhuloxia come to play as well as rabbits, hares, maybe coyotes and my kids tell me rattlesnakes. Um, no thanks to the last one.
The weather has been in the 80s with believe it or not rain, so the plants are taking advantage of it and blooming. Even the hollyhocks in my backyard are blooming again although they’re only half the size they are in the Spring. I don’t know the name of this blooming beauty.
I’m going to do a little bit of work, a little bit of play, and a little bit of rest today. Exercise with Kelli. What’s on your schedule? Food? I think there is elk or boar bratwurst in the freezer, so that’s what’s for dinner.
