Weekend Check-in 👻: Saturday, October 2nd

Good morning Blendies! Anyone else happy it’s the weekend and hoping for a day to slow things down a bit? 🙋🏽‍♀️

What do you have going on today? Anything fun/exciting/new/relaxing? We are all going to a rock climbing gym this afternoon. My kids have done it, but Hubby and I never have. I’m looking forward to that harness grabbing my butt and thighs and making everything bulge between the straps. 😳 There will be no pictures of that, I can assure you! Aside from that, I really am looking forward to it! I think I’ll count that as my workout.

And what’s going on in the kitchen today? We are having a Canadian feast, since my youngest son just finished learning about Canada. We are having toutiere (meat pie), maple roasted beets and carrots, and pets de soeur, which is a cookie that translates as “nuns’ farts.” Having all boys, we HAVE to have a dessert called nuns’ farts! (If you are Canadian and reading this, please forgive any misspellings; I’m better with Spanish and Italian!).
