How Much Water Do You Drink?

Hey everyone,

I get conflicting messages about how much water to drink. I am a 17 year old female, my height is 5 foot 4 inches, and I weigh around 145 pounds. I've seen that I should probably drink around 2.7 liters a day. The thing that concerns me about this is that if I drink too much water, I will end up flushing out essential minerals and electrolytes out of my body. Do you do anything to replace those? How do you approach drinking water?
