"What's the point?"

I've been exercising pretty much as I used to before my burnout of a couple years ago. The road back was long, hard, and trying. Through trial and error and many set backs I found my new happy medium between lifting weights, cardio and stretching.

On days when I wonder where my energy went and why periodically I'm still struggling with this, I think: " what's the point? I'm 66 years old! What am I trying to prove anyway?" And it goes on and on all day.

Then I read about Joan McDonald.

If you've never heard of her, check her out. An incredibly inspiring woman!

I know exercise is not just about your age. And this story reminded me of that.

I'm going to post her pic on the wall of my home gym for when that negative self talk threatens me again.
