a torn calf muscle

On the 23rd of May, I tore my calf muscle in a running competition. It is stll sore and feels like the stretch is gone in my calf. I love cardio, hiit, running, biking... The doctor told me to rest though. But rest is really bad for me ;-). So I have been doing pilates workouts, core training and upper body strength training. Anything else I might try to do while my calf muscle is still healing? (an echo showed that is is scar tissue, which means it is healing.)

anyone any good ideas? I love the pilates, strength and core workouts on here, but it is getting a little monotonous...
