2 Week Abs Challenge - Day 1 - complete!

Despite feeling quite sluggish from very high humidity and not feeling like starting this program at all, decided to give it a go anyway. Feeling great now afterward - glad to have made that leap! :)

Today's workout was a HIIT+Abs workout with Daniel, one of the few Abs workouts on the favorites list so far. Thankfully, the HIIT portion was short and sweet despite the x2 repeated format, and only needed to swap out the jumping lunge rotations which put too much torson on the knees for runners and skip-ups.

Even though several of those 50 second intervals were feeling like foreeeever (hey side plank hip raises and swimmers!), the workout flew by and was finished sooner than expected. The focus on obliques exercises and plentiful planks were made all the more challenging after yesterday's arm-jellifying workout, lol! ;)

The 15 minutes Pilates leg EC with Kelli was enjoyable and gave a good burn (those 35 second pulses were killer!) and yet more side planks, ha! Perhaps today should have been called obliques and planks, lol?! ;)

Overall, today was a surprisingly good start to the somewhat dreaded Abs Challenge program - both workouts were challenging, yet doable, and short enough to fit into the day without feeling rushed.

Tomorrow's scheduled workout is a favorite UB strength training with Kelli before jumping back into those Abs exercises on day 3.

Hope your week is off to a good start, and happy Blending everyone! :)
