FB Fit R3 - Day 18 Complete!

It was 2 favorite UB strength workouts today - main workout with Daniel, EC with Kelli (and such cool striped leggings!). Love the irregular, dynamic strength format to help engage the core and reinforce good form!

On pure strength training days like this, FB Fit R3 feels so fun and doable, while still being very muscle-challenging in a good way. Surprisingly, no HIIT/cardio is scheduled for tomorrow (yay! :D ) - it's a long, challenging 5/5 LB pure strength workout with Daniel and a Pilates burnout EC with Kelli, which should turn the legs to noodles for the weekend. :)

It's hard to believe that next week is the final week of FB Fit R3 already! This week felt like it went by more quickly than last week with less HIIT and more strength training. For the HIIT + LB strength training workout schedule next Monday, it will be interesting to try doing the strength training first and the HIIT at the end to see if that works better than the usual HIIT followed by strength training format.

Next week also brings the only cardio-kickboxing routine (not a favorite style, but always game to work on improving form and learning to like good-for-you things). A 1000 calorie workout is scheduled for the last day of the program - it's the same from last month in another program which knocked everything back by an entire week in order to fully recover.

All in all, this week has been much better than last week by intentionally dialing down the HIIT and focusing more on strength training.

The 2-week Abs Challenge is next on the schedule, but a deload few days-week between might be good before starting with low-intensity independent FB workouts, depending on how things feel.

Seeing how much pure strength training has become a steady favorite along with Pilates (surprisingly), the Booty/Flex combo might be a good option after the 2-week Abs Challenge, especially with outdoor sports necessitating more frequent rescheduling to avoid overtraining and losing muscle mass. With so many good FB programs and so many good FB workouts, it's always a challenge to choose what to do next. :D

Hope your week is going well - happy blending everyone! :)
