HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group May 31st πŸŒžπŸŒ±πŸ“–

Hello Blender friends, and welcome to the very last day of May! For me, May was a month for recognizing my body's current limits and taking time to rest and rebuild. This past week I've been checking out various stretching videos, and I rather enjoyed this short one that added just a little lower-body work into the mix https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos/chill-out-stretching-pilates-yoga-workout-for-flexibility-and-calm

After having an osteopathic treatment on Saturday, I am feeling a little better, so I'll start setting up a little "recovery" routine for the week. Over the weekend, life helped me work out: I harvested a first kilo of rhubarb. I also planted a couple more young tomato plants (there are always extras when you sow your own), and managed to find good homes for all the extras. I also planted swiss chard, little 2-inch baby plants that I hope will survive. But I would be lying if I led you to believe it was a very busy all-work weekend. Yesterday my library app pinged me that a reservation I made back in March was finally ready, and I spent the afternoon reading volume 6 of the Murderbot Diaries: Fugitive Telemetry. And I would (actually, I will!) do it again, hence today's quote : β€œTime you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.” (Marthe Troly-Curtin)

With the cooler weather, we'll be eating heartier fare: spicy lentil soup for lunch, and leftovers of this https://www.fitnessblender.com/articles/sun-dried-tomato-and-spinach-chicken-skillet. And with the time saved by eating leftovers, I should manage to make my rhubarb compote (with orange and ginger) tonight.

So what is on the agenda for you, lovely friends? Good workouts? Excellent foods? Enjoyable ways to waste time? Let us know πŸ˜€! And of course please know that all Blenders are welcome here, feel free to chat with us, or just hang out.
