The perfect rest day

Yesterday was the first rest day for the second week of FB Abs for me. I had thought about adding a short lower body workout since I was feeling pretty good, but then my husband suggested that we find a new trail to hike, so I ended up deciding to make that hike my workout for the day.

We ended up finding a new trail by accident. We had trouble finding the trail that we picked online and ended up driving past this one. 😅

For being a total accident, we couldn't have picked a more perfect trail to hike! It was a warm day out, but the tree cover kept the trails cool. There were oh so many hills and steps, but when we got to the top, we were over looking lake Michigan. The stairs made for such a great leg workout! I've got short legs and the steps were spaced a good distance apart, so on the way up I was doing lunges. My calves and glutes are so sore this morning!
