Push-ups

Today was upper body day, and I wanted to do something different.

So, I thought I’d practice my push-ups. This has to be the most push-ups I’ve done at once. Got humbled a few times as I collapsed on my face, but I really was encouraged as well. Push-ups are NOT my strong spot, but I've improved so much in my upper body strength. I think back to when I first started, I could barely do one! Now, I can do all thee of these videos, and jumping jack variations during the rest intervals for cardio! I’m still doing push-ups from my knees, but that’s my point; I can be proud of how much stronger I am, and know that I can keep working to get stronger.

So I just want to encourage everyone to not just try to reach some number on the scale, or some vain outer appearance. Try and remember to work and set goals toward getting stronger, and focus on things that have real meaning and can be purposeful for every day life and health. (This is a good reminder for me, too.)
