Me: β€œIs there gorse on my back?” Him: β€œnice shapely legs!” πŸ™ˆπŸ˜±πŸ€£

After a lovely 12 min seaswim and breakfast, it was bikes on the car and off to the nature reserve we had hiked around a week or so ago.

Before the ride,

Me: β€œI don’t feel like anything strenuous today, just relaxing.”

Him: β€œok, just exploratory then, nice and relaxing!”

Half an hour into our ride: oops, that was a rather boggier path than expected! Result: off my bike in a deep puddle with both shoes and socks totally soaked (which they remained for the rest of the day BTW). πŸ₯ΆπŸ˜±πŸ€¬

An hour into our ride:

Me: β€œyikes, that hill nearly killed me”

Him: β€œthat’s so good for your heart health!β€πŸ˜±πŸ€”πŸ™ƒ

End of the ride, I got stuck in some high gorse. I removed most of the gorse from my arms and front, but...

Me: β€œis there any more gorse on my back?”

Him: β€œnice shapely legs!”....

an hour later I found some more gorse in my hair! Not sure whether to get cross at him or accept the compliment given to me by my husband of so many years....πŸ™ˆπŸ˜±πŸ€£
