I know this is (yet again) a day late. The reason is that yesterday I made some small but apparently uncommon movement which resulted in a vertebrae blockage and some bad muscle tension in my left shoulder. My left shoulder is now sore and the muscles there are quite tense, but other than that I am fine. So I went to the doc today, received a prescription to loosen up my muscles and the advice to, yes, move and work out, but gently and carefully. Push-up training is not that. So - for at least the next week I decided to pause my push-up training and I also pushed back the start of my next training program (FB Abs2) to April 2nd. Instead I will do FB Fundamentals (and maybe some other light (but optional) workouts).
So yeah, rest it is, after a week where push-up training was hard. Even though this is a set back and won't allow me to stabilize the progress I made already I still intend to come back next week with renewed energy for the push-up training and goal setting for April.
I hope you all had a better week and I look forward to hear about your progress.
For those coming across the group the first time:
Purpose of the group is to improve our ability to do push-ups. Everyone is welcome, wherever your starting point is. Set a goal - for the month or the year, make a plan for your training and go. The group is here to cheer you on.
Push-up Group - Week 11: Check in
