Help!

I am 50 and going through the big change. I have read that women this age should start thinking more about bone density and strength so I have changed my workout schedule. Instead of 5 to 7 days of cardio with some strength built in, I have changed to 3 days of strength(upper body day, lower body day, total body day) using heavier weights, and 2 days of cardio. The lower and total body strength days feel like cardio though! Eating habits have stayed the same. The hateful scales are being mean to me! I know weight fluctuates daily, but I have gone from 138-143 to 144-148! I also know stressing about it will increase the likelihood of keeping weight on! I feel like I can't do everything the 50+ fitness people say and not gain weight. However, I know I can't keep up with the younger folks and recover fast enough to not do more harm than good😩. I worked really hard to lose 40 lbs a couple of years ago and don't want to put it back on.
