Help with Weight Placement for Lower Body Lifts with Lower Back Restrictions

Hi FB family,

I need some advice. I’m at a place where I need to start lifting MUCH heavier on lower body days. My lower body can handle the heavy weights, but I recently had lower back surgery and I have to be mindful of injury. I’m no longer allowed to carry weights on my shoulders. Any suggestions on how to hold my weights to lift heavy without hurting my back?
