B Vitamins and Muscle Pain/Soreness

A friend of mine once told me that his doctor had suggested that his terrible joint pain was caused by the B vitamins he was getting from energy drinks. I had been having what I thought was arthritis for years (I was only 35) and no doctor had ever said that to me, or been able to help me, but as soon as I stopped supplementing with a B-complex, which I always thought I had to do b/c I'm vegetarian, the inflammation eased and then left me altogether. I felt reborn, it was such a relief. Recently, I began experiencing terrible body aches, and nothing I did-rest, foam rolling, stretching, not resting-helped. Finally I discovered that there was B-12 in the melatonin I started taking about a week before the pain began. I stopped taking it, and the pain left me. I hope this information helps someone, just like I was helped long ago by my energy drink-drinking friend.
