Balancing Cycling and Workouts

Hello there Blenders! :)

I have just learned how to ride a bike and am keen to ride my bike to university every day. The ride is about 20 minutes each way. However, I also want to keep up my HIIT and strength training. How can I do this without overtraining? Is it okay to ride a bike on rest days? How long should my workouts be as a consequence?
