“Food for Thought” Jan 29

Hi beautiful Blenders,

How is your day going? Is food an issue for you today, or does it feel all right? Anyone is welcome to drop by or to leave a comment.

I was struggling quite a bit before Christmas with all the cookies we traditionally bake. So much temptation. And over Christmas I gained some pounds, but I tried not to stress about it and just switch back to a healthier eating pattern afterwards. January was very quiet regarding food and the extra pounds are already gone. To learn that healthy eating is not a short-term approach but is meant to accompany you your whole life, even if it is interrupted by events is a big step forward for me. I’m getting more confident not to worry too much about it. In the long run it always balances out.

How do you deal with events like Christmas? Do you manage to eat healthy during those times or do you eat a bit more? Do you feel guilty or do you found a way to enjoy your food without feeling guilty?
